Mercado de Motores – Madrid’s coolest flea market!!

The city’s trendiest flea market is celebrating its 50th edition this weekend at Museo del Ferrocarril. You’ll find independent designer stands set up along the museum’s train platforms, and best of all, food stalls and music outside.

The vermouth pop-up bar, La Vermuteria, is back at Tipos Infames bookstore in Malasaña this Saturday. Skim through the pages of a new book while you treat yourself to a refreshing vermouth before lunch!

 




Sunday Funday: After Brunch at Conde Duque

After Brunch will be presenting its first Open Air Festival offering a great line up with the most sought after electronic music in Madrid, food trucks and a flea market, all together at Cine Garden Conde Duque, a large patio which also hosts summer open air movie screenings.

Artisan Beer Festival in Lavapiés

Big news for all you beer lovers: the second edition of Artesana Week is happening April 18th-24th! The Commerce Association of Lavapiés is hosting a craft beer festival where the local bars and vendors join to share their love for beer culture with the public. And given that the festival is all week long you’ll be able to try multiple beers over the course of the festival.




Mercado de Diseño, Hello Spring

This weekend, April 2nd and 3rd, Mercado de Diseño invites all foodies, music lovers, and everyone in between to come out to Matadero to welcome the change of season with Hello Spring! Artists such as Belop, Penny Necklace and Iseo will be there performing at different times throughout the afternoon. So grab your friends and go enjoy the sun, cocktails, live music, and street food!




Food Trucks Expo – Nuevos Ministerios

Start March off right with the Food Trucks Expo going on from March 1st – March 6th! 16 food trucks will gather near Nuevos Ministerios to showcase food from all over Spain. Don’t miss the chance to have food from vendors like Lucia’s, Origen, and Frankfurt’s Madrid!

Beer Festival in Palacio Vistalegre!

With an array of brews, this Beer Festival in Palacio Vistalegre February 25-26 and March 3-6 will blow you away! Designed to be family friendly and accompanied by live music, a global variety of meat and a playground for the kids, this festival is open to all. All people and all ale from Irish reds to Belgian blondes, Mexican pales and more. Though limited, admission is free and all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and abstain from consuming alcohol, other options will be available.

The festival is open from 7:30pm – 12am on Thursdays and Fridays, 12pm – 5pm on Saturdays and 12pm – 10pm on Sundays.

Located in Palacio Vistalegre Arena on Calle Matilde Hernández, the nearest metro station is Vistalegre

Gastrofestival all over Madrid

With locations scattered throughout the city, over two weeks of tantalizing cuisine will tempt you during the Madrid Gastrofestival January 23rd – Febuary 7th. A fairly young festival, it represents the collaborative effort of more than 400 local wining and dining establishments. MadrEAT – Madrid’s Street Food Festival!

Don’t miss Madrid’s one and only street food market! During winter, MadrEAT is changing locations (see map above), next to Pabellón de Ondaretta on Calle Principal de Provincias (no number). Nearest metros are Puerta del Angel, Alto de Extremadura and Lago. It will take place on Saturday from 12pm-10pm and Sunday from 12pm-6pm, the market will boast more than 20 different food stands and an amazing atmosphere. A word of advice – do NOT go right at lunch time.
